The end of summer brought us a brand new single from Carrie Underwood and the promise of a new album in the very near future. And the 32-year-old assures us we won't have to wait too much longer to hear her new hit "Smoke Break" live.

“We’re working out the details right now,” she tells CMT's Cody Alan. “Tour routing and figuring out who’s going to come out with us and all that stuff — it takes a lot of love and a lot of planning. I feel like within the next couple of months we should be announcing everything. We’ll just put it out there! I’m excited.”

It's been a few years since Underwood has hit the road for a long trek. She last embarked on a tour in the summer of 2012 to promote her Blown Away album, which was released that same year. That run grossed almost $30 million before it wrapped in the spring of 2013.

Underwood recently released the first single off of her upcoming project, "Smoke Break." Taste of Country spoke of the song that it "hits like the first sip of good whiskey." It’s a song everyone can relate to, and the music video finds the leggy blonde hitchhiking her way to her next gig.

Storyteller will drop on Oct. 23. This is the fifth studio album from the American Idol alum and her first record in in almost three-and-a-half years.
