Carrie Underwood Gives Away Necklace & More in Casey’s Taste of Country

Carrie Underwood apparently makes a habit of reaching out to the American Idol contestants each season. During the current season, Carrie actually sent a necklace to contestant Hollie Cavanaugh. Can you believe that? Hollie tweeted a thank you to Carrie and said,

"I wear it everyday, and I almost cried reading the letter." 

American Idol goes country tomorrow. Season 10 winner, Scotty McCreery (you might have heard of him) is scheduled to perform on the results show.

Jason Aldean is continuing to break records.  His 2012 'My Kinda Party Tour' has sold out all 18 shows to date including New York metro area's IZOD Center this past weekend. That show also set a new record for a Country concert with more than 19,000 fans. It broke the previous record, set by Shania Twain with 15,749, back in 2003.  Jason is up for six ACM Awards this coming Sunday, including Entertainer and Male Vocalist of the Year. Taylor Swiftwas spotted at a screening of The Hunger Games over the weekend with her pal from Glee, Dianna Agron. According to US Magazine, the two were spotted at the Arclight theater in Hollywood on Sunday. Taylor and Dianna are also on the guest list for Tim Tebow's second annual Tim Tebow Foundation Charity Golf Tournament in Florida next month, according to the New York Post. As you may recall, Taylor was spotted with Tim a few times in Los Angeles recently just adding to the rumors that the two might be dating.

Mike Eli of the Eli Young Band and his wife of two years, Kacey, confirmed to People.com that they are anticipating the arrival of their first child, a baby girl, on August 2nd.
