Carrie Underwood has added another American Music Award to her long list of honors. The singer took home Favorite Female Artist - Country during the annual ceremony on Sunday (Nov. 23).

The fan-voted awards aired live from the Nokia Theatre in L.A. The honor marks Underwood's eighth career AMA, beginning with Favorite New Breakthrough Artist in 2006. Since then she has won T Mobile Text-In Artist of the Year and has taken Favorite Country Albums honors four times.

Sunday night's win is her second in the category of Favorite Female Artist - Country. She beat out Miranda Lambert and Kacey Musgraves for the award.

Underwood's latest single is 'Something in the Water,' from her forthcoming 'Greatest Hits: Decade #1' album. The project is due on Dec. 9 from 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville, and also features one other new track, 'Little Toy Guns,' as well as four songs in never-before-released versions and, of course, the biggest hits of her career so far.

‘Greatest Hits: Decade #1′ is available for physical pre-order here, and digital pre-order here.
