Carly Sinnott was a student athlete, and very loved by friends, family and her community. All of those things came together in a very special tribute last night on ESPN.

Carly, who lived in Clifton Park and attended Mekeel Christian High School,  tragically passed from a fall at Potter Kill Reserve on May 12. Another sad and tragic accident that took the life of who everyone agreed was a bright and talented girl who was far too young to be taken away. It was from that sadness the community felt and a hashtag created by her friends that brought Carly to national TV.

Soon after her passing, the hashtag #GetCarlyOnSportsCenter began to take off. Carly was the captain of her high school volleyball team and her friends thought that this would be a remarkable way to honor her. They were right and yes, it did happen.

Here is the video, in case you missed it, provided by our sister station ESPN 104.5 The Team, of ESPN'S Scott Van Pelt announcing Carly as his "Star of the Night."
