Capital Region - We Proudly Present The Completed 5 County Anti-Bullying Song -Reading, Writing and Rhyming [AUDIO]

Ok, get ready Saratoga, Schoharie, Schenectady, Rennselaer, and Albany Counties! You have childen in your schools who are so upset about bullying that they are willing to sing about it! Here is their (and my) labor of love!

The statistics regarding bullying are staggering. This is probably an old study too. There's child bullying, adult bullying, teacher bullying, cyberbullying - the list goes on and on. If you'd like to read just how much of it is going on, you can check out bullyingstatistics.org.

How do we stop it? How do we drill it into peoples' heads how wrong it is? I guess you have to start young, so with the support of Dr. Phil Fusco of Academy of Character Education at Sage Colleges, I proudly present a song co-written by six different classes in the Capital Region. Each one contributed either a verse or a chorus or a comment or something, and it was "sewn" together using a Macbook Pro, my keyboards, some software, and lots of Dunkin Donuts pumpkin coffee.

Bullying is bad, bullying is wrong

If you don't like hurting others, then sing our bullying song

Please don't be just like King Kong

Tell every bully in the nation "bullying's wrong"

It happens in the hallway, it happens on the bus
We certainly don't like it when it happens to us

It happens on the playground, it happens it anywhere

Start to show you care, and don't act like a bear! GROWL"

Bullying's bad! Tell them to stop! Go away!

In fact it is a word that we would like to drop

Tell an adult or a recess aid,

Have the courage to say "STOP". Don't be afraid!

Do not be mean, come and join our team

to stop those bullies NOW!

Bullying's sad, bullying hurts

So standup to that bully when you're treated like dirt

the bullying's good, but we feel bad

bullying makes everybody sad ....

....Just walk away ..... Here's what you say

"I don't like what you're doing!". My words will be real strong

Don't shout --Don't stay

Bullying's wrong! All together now

Tell everyone in the world--DON'T BE A BULLY!!!
