Capital Region Oscar Stars [Watch]

Last night was the 87th Annual Academy Awards and while we all watched at home in our sweatpants (or was that just me?) some local talented men were being honored!

We'd like to congratulate Tom Curley on his Oscar for Sound Mixing the film "Whiplash"!  Tom is a Troy native and graduated from Shen!

Curley shared the award for sound mixing with colleagues Craig Mann and Ben Wilkins.

J.K. Simmons won best supporting actor for his role in the film.

Justin Craig is a recent film-school graduate from Ballston Spa, New York, who made a comic short based on the advice: "Never make eye contact while eating a banana." and ended up on "Team Oscar"!
