US News and World Report has announced their annual 'Best Places to Live In the USA,' and a Capital Region city ranks high on the list!

Every year US News and World Report ranks the top places to live in the United States, and Albany has once again landed pretty high on the list! The magazine says they base their rankings on data from '...(the) United States Census Bureau, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Labor and U.S. News' own internal resources.'

According to the rankings, we are the 39th best US city to live in! Here is a bit of what the article has to say about the capital of the Empire State:

"Albany has maintained a lively downtown that serves as both a commercial and cultural center. The region doesn't have the crowds or costs of a major metro area, and Albany has an old-world appeal to it. There are rows of colorfully painted, turn-of-the-century brownstones, the historic state capitol building and the iconic Empire State Plaza."

Albany ranked the highest of all New York cities on the list. Syracuse followed at #48, Rochester at #51 and Buffalo at #52.
