Kyle Busch and his big brother Kurt both crashed in Saturday morning practice for Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway.

Just after the practice session started, Kyle Busch crashed his No. 18 Toyota on his first practice lap. About 25 minutes later Kurt Busch backed his No. 78 Chevrolet into the wall.

Neither driver was hurt but there was enough damage to both race cars to force them to both go to backup cars for Sunday's race.

By switching to backup cars, both drivers must start Sunday's race from the rear. Based on Friday's qualifying times, Kyle was originally scheduled to start 18th and Kurt 19th.

Other Chase for Championship contenders had trouble during practice too. Just before the Saturday morning practice ended, points leader Matt Kenseth spun out but did not hit anything. Similarly, in Friday's practice session, Jimmie Johnson spun off of turn four but kept his car from hitting the wall.

Kevin Harvick won the pole for Sunday's race - his first since 2006.  Here is the complete race lineup.
