John Lipscomb is a Hudson Riverkeeper that was notified about the bottles by one of the kayakers. He then put a call into the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to let them know about the illegal bottle dumping.

The bottles were cleaned up on Monday by some Queensbury town officials and volunteers. According to the article from the Post Star, it took two groups to take all of the bottles away.

An investigation is continuing and the D.E.C. is asking for calls if anyone has any information. Their phone number is 518-897-1326.
