Body Wash Bandit On The Loose

I’ve written several stories about people stealing stuff and just shoplifting in general, but this is one that I didn’t expect.

A man was in a Troy area Walmart and apparently decided to help himself to a plastic tote and 31 bottles of Irish Spring body wash, and not pay for them.

The suspect tried to jump into a taxi in an attempt to get away. That part of the getaway attempt went wrong. He dropped the merchandise and took off on foot.

The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department wants to find this guy and are asking if anyone can help in identifying the man. The story from CBS 6 Albany includes security photos of the body wash bandit.
