Bobcat Sighting In Knox

It's crazy to think there are wild cats among us, but they are definitely there.According to the NY Department of Environmental Conservation, this Bobcat was spotted in the early morning hours in Knox. No mice were seen for miles.

The NY Department of Environmental Conservation says Bobcats are known to live in the Catskill and Adirondack Regions, and they feed on white-tailed deer and rabbits. They typically weigh between 14-21 pounds, but can get as big as 30 pounds. Imagine a 20-pound cat taking down a deer! I have a 14-pound cat. The only thing she has taken down is a bag of kitty treats in one sitting.
