Black Bear In Albany – Not Yogi

From NYS DEC

I know there have been a lot of red flag warnings due to the earlier lack of rain we had this season, so at first I thought it may have been Smokey The Bear. Nope! A real black bear was spotted in the back yard of a Albany residential neighborhood.Hide your picnic baskets, Boo Boo may be close behind. It was on the 200 block of Mount Hope Drive near Pearl Street and 787. Literally in the city. If I didn’t see the photo from the Department of Environmental Conservation I wouldn’t have believed it myself. More on the story here.
