Billy Currington’s Sentence in Elder Abuse Case

I guess people are crazy!

Billy Currington has received his sentence from the court – five years probation and a $1,000 fine.  Plus, he’s been ordered to attend anger management classes.

Billy plead no contest to a charge of abuse of an elderly person after an alleged altercation with a 70-year-old tour boat captain in Georgia in April. He also made terroristic treats during the incident, according to police.

Currington surrendered the following day and was released on $25,000 bail.

He faced up to 10 years behind bars if convicted of both counts, but he managed to strike a deal which includes being told to stay away from his alleged victim!

So, what do you think?  Does the punishment fit the crime?  There are always 2 sides to every story!  Tell us what you think!
