“Big” Boston Red Sox Player Coming to Saratoga

One of my favorite events in Saratoga is the Saratoga Wine and Food Festival. I may not be a Boston Red Sox fan (Go Yankees!,) but it's still pretty awesome that a baseball player this famous will be in Saratoga next month.

The Saratoga Wine and Food Festival is September 8-9 and if you're lucky enough, you'll have the chance to run into David "Big Papi" Ortiz, according to the Times Union.

Ortiz, along with the Ianniello and DeCrescente families, launched his own brand of wine, Arias wines, named after his mother. Your choices in Arias wines are merlot, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and sauvignon blanc. His cigar line, Big Papi David Ortiz Cigars, will also be available.

You have the opportunity to see David Ortiz on September 8th at a 7:00PM meet-and-greet and photo signing for 100 "Fired Up!" ticketholders and a Big Papi’s Arias Wine & Cigar Bar experience at 8:30PM. Money from purchases goes to benefit the David Ortiz Children’s Fund.
