Business First recently did a study to determine the top school district in the Capital Region, and Bethlehem came out on top.

The study took into account four years of test scores and graduation rates to determine the rankings. Bethlehem topped the rankings followed by Niskayuna at number two and North Colonie at number 3. Guilderland and Saratoga Springs rounded out the top 5.

The rankings also break down rank by school subject. Niskayuna was number one in English and Math, Bethlehem number one in social studies and North Colonie came out on top in Science.

We always knew we had some great schools in the area, so I bet these rankings shift from year to year. And being new to the area, I have noticed that property taxes are higher here compared to other places I lived. But from what I have gathered, the quality of the schools is also higher.
