This installment of  the Reading, Writing and Rhyming Tour takes us to a school in the East Greenbush district, the Belltop Elementary School, where they appreciate great inventions and actually have an inventor in their midst!You may have seen this story.  It was covered recently in the Troy Record:

An invention by Bell Top Elementary School fifth grader Jack Palumbo, a Dog Feet Washer, has been selected as a semi-finalist from more than 1,300 submissions for Invention Convention 2011.

Hopefully we can get a photo of the actual invention to include here, but in the meantime, we wrote a song with the class that covers some of what they consider the great inventions of our day (Jack's being one of them, of course!) And they used a great Toby Keith song that seemed to fit perfectly by just changing a few words here and there.    Without further adieu, here's their musical invention:
