1979- The Bellamy Brothers grab their first No. 1 Country hit with 'If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me?'   In 1976, they debut on the Country charts with the pop crossover 'Let Your Love Flow.'

1977- 'Smokey & The Bandit' premieres in theaters. The movie stars Burt Reynolds, Sally Field, Jackie Gleason and Jerry Reed. Jerry also provides a No. 2 Billboard hit for the film titled 'East Bound And Down.'

1962- George Jones scores his third No. 1 Country hit with 'She Thinks I Still Care,' written by Dickey Lee. The song stays at the top for six weeks and is inducted into the Grammy Song Hall of Fame.
