Be Smart In Hot Weather- Leave Dogs at Home
I have a dog and I love it to death. However sometimes you can literally love your pet to death in the hot Summer months.
We don't hear a lot about this in the news, but each year pets die by the hundreds when left in a vehicle on a hot Summer day while their owners run a quick errand. It only takes a few minutes for a pet to be overcome by heat. Some days you just need to go take care of the errands by yourself and leave Fido home with a big bowl of water, the fan or AC running and let him be safe. Your pets will be happy to see you when you get home. Stay up to date on the weather for the Capital Region during this heat wave with our brand new weather app on WGNA.com
