We're all thinking and praying for the family of Ryan Bielawa, a 2015 Averill Park graduate today.

He was crossing the street just south of his college, Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina early Saturday morning when he was struck by a car.  The driver of the car left the scene... but later returned.

Bielawa was only 19.  He was a soccer and basketball player at Averill Park, and loved to jet ski, water ski and go boating on Burden Lake where his family lives.  His mother told the Times Union that he was a finance major who was interested in investing and planned on being a millionaire by the age of 25.

In addition to his mother, Ryan is survived by his father, Edward, his older brother, Kevin, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be scheduled later this week.

The crash is under investigation in South Carolina.  CLICK HERE for more information.
