I love this time of year, when my two favorite games come out with their new versions! Always first, and it is probably very smart on their part, is the "Battlefield" series, usually followed a bit later by "Call of Duty." This year it's only a week between releases though. Ugh, I am so going to have to get a lot of Battlefield 4 play in this week!
I have to thank one of my wonderful listeners, Ed, for sending me this video. You may have seen some of the great video pranks this guy has done before with drive-thru restaurants. He has done a doll driving the car, a headless zombie and even no one driving the car!
An Amazing race today at Martinsville Speedway! I'm sure that Jeff Gordon fans are ecstatic that Jeff got his first win of the season and has secured himself in the third place position for the race for the Nascar Sprint Cup Championship.
Sad day in the world of music today, as former "Velvet Underground" vocalist Lou Reed died at age 71. Maybe you never have heard of Lou. To many he isn't a household name, but for every musician and lover of the New York City rock sound he was indeed a legend.
If you missed Pet Connection Today on the Sean and Richie Show, here is another chance for you to take a look at a couple of great pets up for adoption. Let's take a look at the pets featured today. Tune in every Thursday at 7:20 a.m. to hear the stories of two incredible (and adoptable!) pets.
A co-worker shared this video with me of the NASCAR Truck Race at Talladega this weekend. It is absolutely hysterical and I must say I am just a bit jealous that our American NASCAR announcers don't get quite as excited as these guys do.
It was just last night that after a long talk (lecture) with my 15-year-old son, that I hugged him and told him that he never has to worry about letting me down, that it's my job to be there for him and to be a good father. Being a father is a job I take more seriously than anything else I do, though I fall short all too often. I told him that it is me who is so very afraid that I will let him down, and that is how it should be.
I don't have to explain to the WGNA listeners the importance of the American farmer. I know that we all appreciate and value the contributions they make to our lives and the hardships that these small family farms face every day. Every year can be a struggle just to get by, even with the entire family working sunrise to sunset but when a tragedy like a barn fire strikes, the results are devastating.
