Now I know there is a great many of you who will here this and say, "Who scape?" but for those who watched the show as I did on the "Sci-Fi" channel, you will be thrilled. If you are a fan of "Farscape" you are a super fan. the show's imagination , creativity, great writing and cast made it an instant classic for the Sci-fi community. It was a wildly imaginative show that never took itself too seriously. the other thing you know if you were a fan of the show is, it ended far too early.
This video is amazing, and scary and very thought provoking. It is a compilation of real "caught on tape" moments where people escaped death my mere seconds. Many of these narrow escapes happened with out the lucky person even having a chance to realize until after how close they really came.
First of all I want to thank a couple of listeners for first bringing this story to my attention. Ben Ventura messaged me on Facebook Friday morning with it, and then later Jason Scultz posted it on our WGNA Facebook page
This video has a little bit of everything that I love. Father and Son working together, special effects, and lots and lots of geek references like "Star Wars" and "Batman". I don't think you have to be into any of those things though to enjoy it, you just have to like to watch really cool things.
If you missed Pet Connection today on the Sean and Richie Show, here is another chance for you to take a look at a couple of great pets up for adoption. Pet Connection is brought to you by our proud sponsor Curtis Lumber, providing building materials to contractors and homeowners since 1890. Tune in every Thursday at 7:20 a.m. to hear the stories of incredible (and adoptable!) pets. Let's take a look at the pets featured today.
Now I know that title may seem like a bit of a tease, but I have to tell you I really think this video may be just that good. Now, at first glance it is just funny, I mean anytime you can watch a very drunk Russian trying to first go through and then over a fence with no luck, hey that's a win. Throw in the twist at the end and it has a great humor pay off. However, after I watched the entire video I realized that says so much about life and the way we choose to see our role in overcoming the obstacles that face us. It is so simple and funny but in the end it teaches us so much.
Every weekday morning at 8:10 we bring you some "Good News" on the "Sean and Richie Show". It's just our way of saying that yes despite all of the horrible things you hear about on the news everyday there actually are some good stories. Sometimes it's about an act of kindness, sometimes it's a fortunate twist of fate, maybe a child who goes above and beyond and other times , like today it could be something as simple as the love of a pet.
Wow, if you like me are not one of the 23 million people who have watched this video yet, get ready to be impressed. Everyone knows that at Mass the father will often lead the church in songs and hymns and sometimes if you are lucky their singing isn't really that bad. What Father Ray Kelly brought to the wedding of Chris and Leah O'Kane however is more like the stuff you'd find on "X Factor".
Let's be honest here my friend, whether you like it or not the "selfie" is here and it's here to stay. Truth be told there are times when you just need to get a quality picture of yourself up on the interwebs and there is just no one else there to take the picture for you, or perhaps more realistically, you know it will take 78 pictures before you find one you like and are willing to share and you just don't want to ask anyone else to go through that with you. Well now your worries are over!
There is nobody hotter than Blake Shelton right now. You see him on "The Voice" , hosting the "ACM Awards Show", on tour and I'm pretty sure his last ten songs have all gone to number 1. In fact the last time Country Music had a guy this popular was probably Garth Brooks. Remember the free concert Garth did in Central Park in N.Y.C.? Well it seems Blake Shelton may be doing something similar this year.
If you were listening to the show early this morning we talked about this story. A 14 year old girl for some reason decided to Tweet to American Airlines a fake terrorist threat. The girl, Sarah wrote, "My name's Ibrahim and I'm from Afghanistan. I'm part of Al Qaida and on June 1st I'm gonna do something really big. Bye." Why she thought that this was OK to post to the airline , no one knows at this point but American Airlines did not find any humor in it.
