I can not believe I had not heard about this show before today! It looks so cool and both the producer and one of the stars of the show are from right here in Hoosick Falls. The show "Building Wild" is produced by George Verschoor from Hoosick Falls and stars Pat “Tuffy” Bakaitis who has owned the excavation company Hoosick Sand & Gravel for over 35 years.
Trust me my friends, winter is not done with us yet! I think that much like with anything in life that is miserable, or stressful or even tragic you just have to have a sense of humor about it. Even better than that though is to laugh at other people who are in the same boat as you are!
Tonight as I looked at the listener comments on our WGNA Facebook Page, a listener wrote" Here's a perfect question of the day for Tuesday: Do you purchase "Store Brands" in things or do you stick by "Name Brands" only?" I thought it was a great question and it got me thinking, how much difference is there, really?
I've seen this video on a few of my Facebook Friend's walls today. I am not sure how old it is, it looks to be from 2012, but I know I had not seen it yet so I think it is safe to assume many of you have not either.
If you watch the movie trailer for "Lone Survivor", you may think "Wow, looks like a pretty good war film." I'm sure it is, but I know it is so much more than that. The last time I went to Memphis to visit St. Jude we all had an opportunity to meet the man who is the "Lone Survivor" in the title of the movie, Marcus Luttrell.
I really don't have a whole lot to say here other than I saw this commercial the other night and I could not believe how much it creeped me out. I wonder what in the world advertisers are even thinking lately.
If you missed Pet Connection today on the Sean and Richie Show, here is another chance for you to take a look at a couple of great pets up for adoption. Let's take a look at the pets featured today. Tune in every Thursday at 7:20 a.m. to hear the stories of incredible (and adoptable!) pets.
As I was doing the show today I noticed a particular video getting shared and shared on my news feed. I really is amazing , a home video that shows a fast moving glacier of ice coming off a lake in Minnesota and even pushing it's way into homes.
As I watch this video over and over, because I just can't stop watching it, I hear John Lennon singing, "instant karma gonna get you." We all know hockey is a violent sport, checking and using the wall to take your opponent off the puck is fully encouraged and accepted. I am fine with that.
There is a new restaurant/wine bar opening in Glens Falls called the "Rare Earth Wine Bar". The new place opens this Thursday at 4:30 pm and while it may look like a regular wine bar , this one has one very different twist. No tipping.
So I have always been a big fan of the "Big Mac". It is actually amazing how many years I have been enjoying the occasional, "Number 1" at McDonald's. I have also been a fan of the "Whopper with Cheese", the signature sandwich from Burger King. So when I started seeing the commercials on TV for the "Big King" (clearly an attempt to duplicate the Big Mac) naturally I was curious. Though the Big Mac has always been clear and away my "go to " burger.
