What an amazing day! You know I was complaining just a few weeks ago about how the temperatures outside were 15 degrees below normal, today we got a taste of the opposite. Today was sunny and in the 80's and while most of us did have to put some work in, I hope you found a few minutes to enjoy the summer weather. I had a great adventure with my 3 year old son and we did some amazing things, and we did it in our own neighborhood in the span of a half hour.
What do you do when you are a kid who loves playing ping pong then as a result of an accident when you are 10 years old you lose both of your arms, you give up on that dream right? Wrong. An Egyptian man named, Ibrahim Hamato is yet more proof that really anything you want to do you can do , no matter what the obstacles.
The couple is Michael & Carissa Alvarado and together they are a band called, "UsTheDuo" now they are also husband and wife. It was at their ceremony that they chose to "sing" their vows to each other in a song they wrote together before the wedding. The attendees seemed to love it and I must admit, it is a pretty good song. Some people have questioned though, their intentions as it is clearly was video-graphed more like a music video than a wedding video and while the sweet song and moment has gotten over 1.2 million views on YouTube, the fact that the song is available for download on iTunes is the first thing you see.

What a wonderful story this has turned out to be. You may remember seeing a video back in March where a YouTube personality named "MagicogRahat" surprised a homeless man with a lottery ticket worth $1,000. The homeless man's name is Eric and his reaction to winning and his sincere desire to give back some of the money has inspired people from all over to donate to his cause. And now, with the money that has been donated, Rahat has found, furnished and set up a real "home" for Eric and the entire story is just amazing.
It's no secret -- I love Jerrod Niemann. I cannot handle partying with the guy because he truly can "drink to that all night," and I just can't anymore, but I do love to try when he comes to town.
When the song "Drink to That All Night" came out, I also must confess I thought, "Wow, is that country?" Well, what is and what isn't country can be debated all day and many times over, but what I knew was that whatever you called it, it was good music. Jerrod really does have a way of stretching boundaries, trying new things and, above all, having fun with his music. I, for one, like that approach.
This is just amazing. I think at one point or another, most of us have been where this woman was just a week or so ago. Penny Pompa, a woman with four children living in Monroe, Connecticut had fallen on some pretty hard times. She had contracted Lyme disease and as a result had a lot of debt mounting from medical bills, and she was just about to lose her house.
The new chase system states that once you win a race, you are in the chase! Lucky for Dale Earnhardt Jr., he knew after Race One he was IN! That didn't seem to stop him from trying to win again. He’s had an impressive season so far. But after last week's Talladega race, NASCAR fans are left wondering: once my driver wins, is he going to take the rest of the season off?
I LOVE Batman. Who doesn't, right? In my eyes, he has always been the greatest of all superheroes and I don't think there have been too many incarnations of the DC Comics hero that I didn't enjoy watching or reading. While I am anxiously awaiting for someone to announce that they are going to do a "Batman Beyond" movie, covering the later years of Bruce Wayne, Fox has thrown me a curveball that I never even considered: Bruce Wayne in his youth. The show is called, "Gotham," a show about the famed city and how it became the bed of corruption and crime that gave birth to one of the worlds greatest superheroes.
