If you know me in anyway, whether it be personally, on the radio or online, you know that I am a huge football fan. A Pittsburgh Steelers fan to be exact, but I love the sport in general. If there is football on the TV, I will sit and watch it. I am one of those fans who goes crazy for "The Boys Of Fall" much like Kenny Chesney sang about.
It's time to head back in time once again to remember another great country song and video with this week's edition of Flashback Friday. This week we go back over 20 years for Tracy Lawrence's debut hit, "Sticks And Stones".
Most folks who know me know what a huge pro wrestling fan I am. I have been watching since the early 80's and still enjoy it as much today as I did back then. Recently when asked if any of us here at the radio station would like to skydive for the Make A Wish Foundation Of Northeast New York, I jumped (no pun intended) at the chance. The WWE is a big reason for that excitement to help out this very worthy cause.
I have always been the kind of guy to help out a good cause. When I was young I would always ask my parents for some change during the holidays to give to a charity. It always gave me a good feeling to help those less fortunate than myself.
First Miranda Lambert premiered her new video for "Fastest Girl In Town" Yesterday and now it's Carrie Underwood's turn as today she gives us the second single and the title cut from her latest album in video form.
Ever since we started playing "Fastest Girl In Town" on GNA, I was excited for a music video to come along to accompany the song. The song itself is fun and rockin' and I knew the video would be too. Then I heard that NASCAR Driver Danica Patrick would be a part of the video and I was looking forward to it even more! So it's now finally here, the debut of the brand new music video from Miranda Lambert. Enjoy!
Saturday, July 28th is the National Day Of The Cowboy. This was started by American Cowboy magazine in 2004 to "preserve, protect and promote cowboys and Western heritage and lobby for the passage of a national resolution designating the fourth Saturday of every July a permanent celebration on the national calendar honoring cowboys and cowgirls for their enduring contribution to the courageous, pioneering spirit of America".
