Coti Howell was born and raised a music lover, and growing up in Nashville only increased her love affair with country music. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga graduate cut her teeth in Journalism as a television reporter for the campus news station before working as an on-air reporter for Inside Music Row. She took some time off to travel and lived abroad in Bangkok before returning to the States to rejoin her one true love: Music Journalism. Howell worked as the entertainment reporter for AL.com in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and freelanced for Nashville publications before joining Taste of Country.
