Doing a morning radio show is a great gig. Not much heavy lifting!  But it definitely is a sedentary job and that's not good for your health.  I mean SERIOUSLY not good.  Neck problems, shoulder pain, lower back troubles! And many of you sit for 8 hours or MORE!  Well that might change soon!

At least, that’s the gist of a few articles that have made the rounds recently. A particularly popular article in Men’s Health cited a study in the journal Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise that will make any desk jockey wince.

Examining the lifestyles of more than 17,000 men and women over 13 years, the report found those who sit for most of the day were 54% more likely to die of heart attacks.

According to Mashable.com, that statistic was true even if the people in the study were nonsmokers and regular exercisers.

I don't know about you, but I'm very excited about this.  And if you're not, for some reason, perhaps a little musical motivation may help!

Well, what do you think?   If you came into work and all your desks were replaced with stand up ones, would you go on strike?  Embrace the change?   (Wow-what a hypocrite.  I'm even writing this blog sitting down).  Ahhh, forget the whole thing!
