Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver Taken Into Federal Custody

Federal authorities have taken Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver into custody on corruption charges.

An FBI Spokesperson has confirmed that Silver was taken into custody around 8 a.m. today.

According the to New York Times, Silver did not list payments he received from Goldberg & Iryami on his annual financial disclosure filings.
