The ASPCA is the oldest humane organization established in the Western Hemisphere. But that is not keeping them from using the newest technology to help with its mission.

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was founded in 1866. Its mission is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States. The ASPCA works nationally to rescue animals from abuse, pass humane laws and share resources with many shelters across the country.

This past week the ASPCA announced a mobile app that is perfect for pet lovers. The app offers instructions on how to find missing pets including how to build a pet digital flyer that can be shared instantly on your social media. It also features advice on protecting pets before and during natural disasters and a place to store and update pets’ medical records. It also provides the latest news about pets and animal welfare.

The app is free. It can be accessed by both iPhone and Android users.
