Thomas Rhett fans got a very special treat over the weekend. During a concert in Iowa City, Iowa, on Saturday night (Aug. 27), Rhett brought out surprise guest Ashton Kutcher.

The two performed a cover of Garth Brooks' "Friends in Low Places," and after taking lead for the majority of the song, Rhett turned his attention to the crowd.

"Y'all think Ashton Kutcher knows the words to the third verse?" Rhett asked his audience.

It turns out he did, as Kutcher got the audience to scream along with him before he and Rhett had a beer chugging contest.

“Do the Hawkeyes got my back on this one?!” Kutcher yelled before he began the verse. “One verse, one time, Iowa style.”

Rhett posted a clip of the two's performance on his Instagram and thanked the actor for his assistance on the song.

"Thanks for helping me out @aplusk your hometown crowd in Iowa City brought the heat!" he captioned the video above.

The two performed during the first concert held at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa. Dubbed the Back Porch Revival, the concert also included performances by Blake Shelton, Big & Rich and Tucker Beathard and benefited Kutcher's the Native Fund, a non-profit with the premise of “Iowans helping Iowans.”

Recently, Rhett announced his own charity event in support of orphans throughout the world. His Thomas Rhett and Friends event will be held Oct. 4 and benefit the charity 147 Million Orphans, an organization that provides food, water, medicine, shelter and education for children who need it the most. The night will feature acoustic performances by Rhett, Dierks Bentley, Walker Hayes and songwriter Shane McAnally.
