Arson Investigation Leads To An Albany Area Man’s Arrest

A 33-year-old East Greenbush man is sitting in jail after it was discovered that he allegedly set a car on fire.

On September 2, 2013, a collectable car was burning at a Rensselaer car dealership. In a story that I read in The Times Union, after investigating, Rensselaer Police discovered that Christopher L. Raul allegedly set a pickup truck bed liner on fire. That’s what the owner of the vehicle covered the roof of the car with.

Rensselaer Police have teamed up with East Greenbush Police are investigating some possible other arson cases that Gaul may be connected with. Gaul is in Rensselaer County Jail, after he was arraigned in Rensselaer City Court.  Gaul’s charges include Third Degree Arson and Second Degree Criminal Mischief. He a court date set for Tuesday, October 1, 2013.
