It's no surprise that Willie Nelson is a big supporter of the legalization of pot!

In a recent article on Taste of Country.com, they state:

"The singer is optimistic about the drug becoming legal, recently noting that “the future looks good."

Nelson, age 81, actually started The Teapot party in 2010 after he was arrested for possession of 6 ounces of weed in Texas. The Teapot Party urges to tax, regulate and legalize marijuana, and its motto is: “We lean a little to the left.”

In a recent interview with Celebstoner.com, the Country Music Hall of Famer reveals:

"More and more people are finding out the benefits of it - hemp and marijuana. The more they delve into it and research it, the more they realize, Hey wait a minute, we should give this another look."

Willie's had a chance to voice his opinion, now voice yours! The New York State Assembly just passed the medical marijuana bill, but according to The New York Times "the prospects for passage in the State Senate remained uncertain."

How do you feel about it? Do you know someone who benefits from the use? Are you unhappy this is moving forward? What are the benefits of legalizing marijuana in New York? Please leave your thoughts and comments in the comment section below.
