I believe there are a million other worries we should have on things to fix in the world before we worry about plastic shopping bags - BUT - I keep seeing articles pop up on it any way.

Shopping stores are banning them all around the country; in fact Central New York is getting set to be the first area of New York to put the law to the test.

Here's what it comes down to: single use plastic bags.

You know exactly what I'm talking about, right? You stop at CVS, pick up something at the grocery store, you hit the mall and make a purchase at FYE and Sephora, oh and one more stop for that sale at Gap. Next thing you know, you have 5+ plastic shopping bags.

Now, if you're like me, they go in a container under the sink and I reuse them for bringing my lunch in for work or if I sell something on eBay I'll utilize them as packaging material to keep the item safe. There are plenty of uses for those bags, that's if you recycle them. There are many people that don't, though and that's what has lead us to this ban.

So, I ask you this: are you for the ban or against it?

If the suggestion is that we all need to start carrying around those hefty reusable bags, I'm not a fan. If we have to start paying extra for some alternative, I'm not a fan of that either. What are your thoughts?
