Last week, I had an article about a phone scam where people were threatened to be sued by the I.R.S.

Some people in the Albany area received that call.

Now there’s another one, again. This time the threat claims to be someone that is representing the New York State Attorney General’s Office. They threaten to sue you, and possibly arrest you, unless you call a certain phone number. According to the article from WNYT, the number you are given is associated with some other nationwide scams.

It’s probably a good idea to contact the Attorney General’s Office if you get one of these calls. The general helpline is 1-800-771-9898.
