There are a lot of budget airlines that offer cheaper direct flights to the south from Albany International Airport and one of them is adding a new route this spring. There are plenty of new nonstop southern destinations being offered from the Capital Region and now Frontier Airlines will be adding another one in April. According to the Daily Gazette, the airline will begin service between Albany and Raleigh, North Carolina with weekly service in the spring.

In adding another route, authorities say that this is a testament to the commitment of Frontier Airlines to the Capital Region to bring low fare service. The direct flight to Raleigh, North Carolina will begin service on April 30, 2019.

Albany International Airport offers many low budget airlines. Many have direct flights to southern destinations like Orlando, Ft. Meyers, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Raleigh, North Carolina to name a few. The airlines are Fronteir, Allegient, JetBlue, and Southwest.
