Remember that creepy doll that gave you nightmares in 'The Conjuring'? The one Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga told their daughter to NEVER touch? Well, Warner Bros. gave the possessed item its own spinoff movie, and the first 'Annabelle' trailer has debuted to bring on the scares.

What's the deal with the Annabelle doll? Where did it come from? How did it get possessed? These are no doubt some of the questions you probably asked yourself while watching last year's 'The Conjuring,' and the official 'Annabelle' trailer gives us a few clues as to what the upcoming origin story entails.

While few details on the 'Conjuring' spinoff are available, other than it's a prequel, the first footage sees a new family attempting to establish a life for themselves, when the husband brings home a creepy doll. That's when their seemingly perfect suburban life turns into a hellish nightmare. We see the doll locked tightly away in the Warren's museum of horrors in 'The Conjuring,' and its origin story seems just as freakish.

'Annabelle' is directed by 'The Conjuring' cinematographer John Leonetti, though James Wan returned to produce, while Annabelle Wallis, Ward Horton, and Alfre Woodard lead the cast. The film will hit theaters this October 3, just in time for Halloween.
