Over 40 million votes were cast between the performances of "American Idol," Tuesday and Wednesday night.  On Tuesday, the twelve male finalists sang a song of their choice while Wednesday, the twelve female finalists did the same.  Last night, was the biggest elimination round.  America chose their favorite top 10 performers by voting after both nights of the show.

Last night, Fox aired a two-hour show, slowly and painfully eliminating the other fourteen.  However, new to the show a few seasons ago, a wildcard round was also conducted last night to allow two more contestants, to finish out the count for the top twelve.  However, based on this week's performances, the judges were the ones to pick who they wanted to "sing for their life."

The top ten contestants, with the most votes from viewers, were James Durbin, Thia Megia, Scott McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Pia Toscano, Karen Rodriguez, Jacob Lusk, Casey Abrams, Paul McDonald and Haley Reinhart.  The three wildcards, after the judges made their decisions, were Ashthon Jones, Stefano Langone and Naima Adedapo.

For the most part, I liked all the top picks except I definitely would have kept Kendra Chantelle.  As much as I like Naima, I didn't think her life saving song was in tune throughout the whole song nor was it her best performance -- just sayin.  Kendra, however, I thought did a fabulous job, but just my opinion.

So it's now getting closer to finding out who America's Idol is for season 10.  My prediction after this week's performances forces me to put my money on Haley Reinhart.  Man, did this girl blow America away with her performance Wednesday night.  If you missed it, check it out and let me know what you think.
