If you think you have what it takes to be the next American Idol, this weekend could put you on the right track. American Idol is holding auditions this weekend and it's the only stop in New York state. You could get in front of judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, but first you have to go through the American Idol audition process. This Sunday (September 9th), American Idol is holding auditions in Buffalo. Unfortunately,  Buffalo is the only location for auditions in New York state.

According to WKBW, the auditions are going to be held canal side which is in downtown Buffalo along the riverfront. They will run from 7am until 5pm and it's first come, first serve. So they are encouraging potential idols to line up early.

If you are planning on going, there are a few things to know. You must be between the ages of 15 and 28. You must be a legal U.S. resident and you are not allowed to wear clothing that has logos or brand names on them.

Hey if you are willing to drive the four and a half hours out to Buffalo to fulfill a dream and become the next American Idol, I say go for it. Do you think Carrie Underwood thought that she wouldn't audition because the drive was too far?

If you can't make it, you can submit an online audition HERE.
