Albany’s water supply has been selected to be one of five best-tasting city waters in a taste test down in Washington, D.C.  The test is sponsored by the U.S. Conference of Mayors.  Albany holds the title of best-drinking water in the state from last year’s competition at the New York State Fair.

According to Mayor Jerry Jennings' office, 77 cities were entered in the contest.  The final roun will take place during an annual meeting amongst mayors next month.  The other four finalists include Rochester; Denton, Texas; Racine, Wisconsin; and Pembroke Pines, Florida.

If Albany wins next month, the city would be crowned the best tasting city water in America.  Pretty prestigious, right?  Have you ever tasted Albany's water?  How do you think it compares to your hometown tap water?
