The National Weather Service has released their latest winter outlook for the months ahead, and it does not look to be too extreme for us.

According to the maps below we have an equal chance of having a cold and wet winter as we do having a warm and dry one. My conclusion? It looks like things will be pretty much normal this year in the Capital Region. If you think about it, we are due for a pretty average winter, right

Last year was extremely warm, and 2 years ago it was super cold and snowy. We are due for your average, nothing to see here winter in 2016-2017. And I think that will make everyone happy. Not too rough for those who hate the cold, and enough snow for all those who love their winter sports, right?
