I’m always happy to pass good news along. It seems that Governor Cuomo has reached a tentative agreement with the CSEA, which will save many jobs.

Considering there were 9,800 jobs on the line, this is pretty good news. According to a story in the Times Union, “if approved by the rank and file, the contract would protect the union's roughly 66,000 members from widespread layoffs that are scheduled to begin in July.”

Some of the stipulations may be no raises for a while, some increases in health insurance and a few other things, but at least many jobs have been saved.

I couldn’t imagine what a bad situation that could have put many people in. What do you think could’ve happened if all those people did lose their jobs?
