Albany Man Tried To Steal Two Televisions From Walmart
On Friday, January 25, 2013, an Albany man went to the Walmart Supercenter on on Troy Road in East Greenbush, left the store with two 47 inch flat screen televisions in his shopping cart.
It wouldn’t have been a big deal, but he didn’t pay for them.
According to a press release from the East Greenbush Police Department, a store employee stopped him on his way out, and asked to see a receipt for the TVs. That’s when Everett B. Edmonds allegedly took the TVs and ran out of the store.
The East Greenbush Police were called. When they arrived at the store, they got a description of Edmonds and the vehicle that he was driving. They gave some other Albany area police agencies the information.
Just down the road from Walmart, the North Greenbush Police saw the vehicle and Edmonds at the Cumberland Farms store. He was charged with grand larceny, and arraigned in East Greenbush Town Court, and sent to the Rennselaer County Jail without bail. Edmonds has to appear in East Greenbush Town Court on January 28, 2013.
