Albany is called a lot of things from "SmAlbany" to some other unflattering comments that I can't retype here, but one thing you might not think to call us is unfriendly. We might need to rethink that idea as a new traveling survey says we are one of the least friendly cities on the planet - Yeah, not in the country, but the planet.

Conde Nast Traveler's survey list the most and least friendly cities around the world and somehow Albany got ranked 13th on the unfriendly list. We're crammed between Los Angeles, CA and Shenzhen, China. In total eight US Cities made the Top 20 list for World's Least Friendly Cities; Newark, NJ came in at No.1.

What about here in the states? We're a little higher up on the list at No.7 between (again) Los Angeles, CA and Wilmington, Delaware.

The survey consisted of 46,000 Conde Nast Traveler readers judging everything from cities, vacation spots, airlines, cruises, and more.

Are we truly as unfriendly as this survey depicts us to be or is it an unfair assumption?
