If you're a veteran or know of one entering back into civilian life, share this event coming to the Capital Region later this month.

There's no way I could understand first-hand having not experienced myself. I can only imagine the shock of fighting in a war abroad and then returning back to civilian life. It must be hard to face the drastic changes that come with having to find a job and finding your space again in your world.

The Times Union and Veteran Center at the College of Saint Rose are presenting On the Home Front: Helping Veterans Prepare for Civilian Life on February 28th. The Times Union says it's "an event highlighting the challenges of Albany-area veterans as they make the transition from the military to everyday life."

If you're not only a veteran or service member who is looking for new options, but maybe a family member or a child of a veteran who is also interested in opportunities, this event is for you as well. Even if you just want to hear inspirational stories about veterans who have returned, with keynote speaker Norman C. Massry, you can register too!
