Albany Super Ducks was supposed to start operating last summer.

But after realizing insurance fees were going to be much pricier than expected, the Times Union says owners Wayne Colwell and Curtis Dunagan have decided not to launch the tours at all. Wayne and Chris told the TU because of some recent fatal accidents with simil\ar tours insurance costs about '3 to 4 times' as expected. This couple with the cost of launching a new business no longer made the venture feasible.

I think folks are going to be bummed about this one. When the duck tours were initially announced, there was a fair amount of excitement. The Times Union says it had been 6 years since we had them here with Albany Aqua Ducks.

Though the duck tours may be done, their could be a new Albany tour option in the future.
