It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and Albany has announced plans for their tree lighting celebration.

Now we know the holidays really are right around the corner as the Capital has announced details for the annual tree lighting. According to News 10, there will be a celebration December 4 from 1 to 8pm at Empire Plaza and East Capitol Park. The trees will be lit at 5:15pm.

Tree lighting's are one of my favorite things to do with the family for the holidays. One, they just get you in the spirit and everyone attending is usually in a pretty jovial mood. And well, the biggest thing is I love seeing lights lit that I did not have to hang. Is there anything worse than putting your lights on a Christmas tree? The lights get tangled, you need to keep moving them on the tree, and well - you get it. At least after hanging the lights you get to hang the ornaments, which is the fun part.

Where this year's trees coming from? News 10 says the Empire Plaza tree is coming from Hudson and the second tree is coming from Albany.
