Since Richie did a blog on the Albany Symphony going to Carnegie Hall, and Kevin had one about country music at Carnegie, how about this? We have local children that will be playing there.

Some students from the Woodland Hill Montessori School in North Greenbush, from the fourth to seventh grade, will perform at Carnegie Hall in May 27, Elaine Houston even did a feature on WNYT about it. This is part of the School for Strings 40th Anniversary Festival Graduation Concert. According to a story in the Times Union, Marla Bracco who teaches the Suzuki Violin method at Woodland Hill, “this is the first year that WHMS students have been invited to participate in the festival.”

The concert will have 175 cellists and 750 violinists participating, and 10 of those are from the North Greenbush School. The concert is completely sold out. Justin Bruck, Christine Somerville, Jora Cohen, Caroline Galt, Mairin Kelly, Isabella Mesko, Sage Banta, , Christopher Redmond, Aidan Singh and Isabella Phayre-Gonzalez are the students that will be performing. So from all of us at WGNA, a great big congratulation is in order. Now for the big question, have you ever been to Carnegie Hall to watch a concert?
