The other day, I did a blog about day trips of places that you can very easily get to. It's Five Rivers Environmental Education Center.Located just a few minutes outside of Albany, just off of Delaware Avenue near Delmar. There is no charge to explore. There's also a building that has a lot of information about some of the wild animals and environment in the area.

They have picnic tables, so you can bring the family and bring a lunch. The get ready to see some of the most beautiful scenery in the area. I was fortunate enough to get a picture or two of some of the wildlife including a very colorful bird. I'm not a bird watcher so I couldn't tell you what kind of a bird it is, but just something spectacular to see. Here are some pictures from Five Rivers:

Young or old, I think almost everyone would enjoy this trip. Just a quick note - as I was walking on the paths and looking around, I enjoyed the peaceful feeling that I got. Very quiet and beautiful. Hopefully we'll be getting some nice weather soon, so you'll want to take advantage of this. Have you ever been here or are you planning to stop in and explore?
