Alan Jackson is now the artist-in-residence at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville.  That's a huge deal! He celebrated by playing one of the longest concerts of his career!

Alan Jackson is now an "Artist in Residence." That seems to be a new trend with performers. Billy Joel is doing it at Madison Square Garden, where he performs now once per month. I'm wondering how often A.J. will perform.  But regardless, according to NashvilleGab.com, he celebrated his new title by performing for almost 21/2 hours.  It might be the longest he's ever played in public, according to the article. Alan will be back toward the end of October with another concert there.

To honor him, there is a huge exhibit at the museum displaying memorabilia from his 25 years of "Keepin' It Country." Here's a promo for it.

Congrats to a country music icon. Here's to 25 MORE years, buddy!
