It seems like every week, there’s another part of the Albany area (including Albany) that wants to build a casino.

Now there’s one more - Schenectady. The area of the electric city that Galesi (a developer based in Rotterdam) is on the former ALCO brownfield development along the Mohawk River.

In the article from the Times Union, a news conference is planned today at Proctor’s GE Theater to formerly discuss the developers plans for the casino property which would include (but not limited to) a 250 room hotel, television studio, movie theater, a harbor with a dock and boat slips and of course, a casino.
