The Voice is a really good show.  It's ten times better when you have a local favorite to root for and Delaney Silvernell was just that. The talented singer/songwriter from Queensbury was given a reprieve a few weeks ago when she was 'stolen' by rival coach Adam Levine when she was eliminated by then coach Kelly Clarkson. But in last night's 'knockout' round, Levine was the one who landed the blow that finished her.

Facing off against Steve Memmolo for Team Adam,  Silvernell sang “Praying” by Kesha. It was a powerful and emotional performance that received tremendous praise from the judges and fans.

Her teammate Memmolo sang “Unaware” by Allen Stone,  Levine ultimately chose Memmolo as the winner, and Silvernell went home, drawing ire from her fans as social media reacted to the decision calling it "the biggest upset of the evening".

Silvernell seems to be taking the experience in stride and messaged her fans through Facebook expressing that her musical journey is only beginning

"I’ll be coming back soon with some announcements I’m very very excited about. New videos, music & shows coming your way."
