Accused Shoplifters Have A Child With Them

A couple from Troy that were suspected of shoplifting are in a little more trouble than just being charged with Petit Larceny.

The New York State Police were called to the Walmart in Brunswick for a man and a woman that were shoplifting.

The accused couple took off, running from the store’s security guard. As they were making their getaway, the couple took the woman’s 8-year-old daughter with them. Their getaway path allegedly included running through heavy traffic with the child.

It didn’t take long for New York State Police to catch up to the suspects and child. Troopers found 30-year-old Samantha Sheard and 44-year-old Clarence Palmer, along with the child. According to the story from News 10 ABC, they were at a restaurant not far from the Walmart. They had the child with them and luckily, she wasn’t injured.

As for the 2 suspects, besides the charge of Petit Larceny, they also charged with Endangering The Welfare Of A Child.
